Why Green Parrot's hand-crafted soaps? Many commercial soaps containsynthetic chemicals.These
chemicals are absorbed through your skin. Green Parrot's hand-crafted soaps contain
natural ingredients such as emollient oils and oxides for coloring.
Some of our soaps, as noted in the descriptions, contain fragrance
oils. Although these fragrance oils are synthetic, they are cosmetic
grade fragrance oils and are suitable for use for those who are
not sensitive to perfumes or scented bath products. Commercial soaps commonly
have the glycerin removed.
Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap making process. Glycerin
helps keep your skin soft and supple. Green Parrot Soaps retain this
natural glycerin. You'll feel the difference the first time you use one
of our soap bars!
All
of our soaps start with a base of virgin olive oil. Other oils,
including coconut, safflower, soybean, almond and sunflower are added
to create a unique, pure soap that is gentle to your skin. Depending on
the soap, other ingredients such as Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter are
added, along with essential oils or fragrance oils. We make our soaps
in
small batches, and each bar is finished with our signature Green Parrot
embossed stamp. Our soap bars are handcut, with each bar weighing at
least 2.5
ounces (except the Gift Basket soaps). Our bars are smaller than average soap bars, because we want to
make our soaps so affordable you can mix and match the soaps you want!
We
do not use titanium dixide in our soaps, and we are no longer using
palm oil as one of our soap ingredients. We use recycled paper and
vegetable inks for our labels, and the soap holders are made from
recycled bamboo.

each bar is stamped with the Green Parrot logo.

all-natural soap has no aroma.
